De Leon cleverly is able to transport the reader into whatever era suits him. From the Japanese occuapation to the declaration of Marshall Law. He also brings back to life friends who have left us and leaves the reader with a strong feeling of nostalgia. What he says about KOKOY ROMAULDEZ is what I constantly been saying about him. Read the book and find out. For those who are of my generation I urge you to buy this book. Its worthwhile reading MAGALING si MANOLING.
